AccountManager RFQ Views

AccountManager has several different views that display RFQs.  Clicking on the “+” next to the main “RFQs” view will expand the selection to include a variety of additional views to browse and locate RFQs.  Your AccountManager administrator may have set certain restrictions in place that govern which data is available to various users.

In the default “RFQs” view, the RFQs are displayed in ascending order categorized by Company name (which is not a labeled column).  Any RFQ could appear in this view multiple times (i.e. under the Principal’s company name, the End Customer’s company name, the Distributor’s company name, etc).  Clicking on the “+” next to a company name will expand additional rows and allow you to see more information about the RFQs associated with that company.

Some columns have a sort indicator, meaning you could click on that column header to override the default sort and view the data in a different order (such as by “RFQ #” in the example below).  When you sort by a particular column, the sort indicator turns into a solid black triangle.  To unsort that column, click the column header again or sort by a different column instead.

Finding RFQs in a View

To look up RFQs by Company name, follow the steps below:

1. Click on the “RFQs” view, and ensure none of the columns are currently sorted (in other words, none of the sort indicators are solid triangles).

2. Begin typing the company name of the account you wish to find.  As soon as you type the first letter, the “Starts with…” dialog box appears.  You may type as much or as little of the name as you want, to narrow the search

3. Click on “Search All” or hit your “Enter” key, and you will be taken to the first account whose company name meets the criteria you entered.  Click the “+” icon to expand the rows and view additional details.

You can use the “Starts with…” dialog box to find RFQs based on other criteria as well.  Whichever column is currently sorted is the column you will be “searching” in.  For example, if you’re in the main “RFQs” view, but would quickly like to locate a RFQ based on the RFQ #, follow the steps below:

4. Click the “RFQ # ” column header and the RFQs will now be sorted by the RFQ numbers.

5. Type some or all of the RFQ number.  (After the first key is struck, the “Starts with…” dialog box will appear).

6. Click on “Search All” or hit your “Enter” key
