AccountManager Configuration Profile

The Configuration Profile holds all of the system configuration information for the AccountManager.   This profile allows you to manage the pop-up lists, default values, security setting and more. To open the Configuration Profile you must be an AccountManager administrator with the “SysAdmin” role. 

Note:  Use caution when making changes to these settings.  Changes made in this profile impact the entire system.  If you have any questions please call technical support before making the change.

To make modification to the system documents, navigate to the “System / Configuration Profile” view and Click on the Edit button to modify and click “Save” to save your changes.

Configuration Profile Field Descriptions

(Note: Please note that to modify the System Tab you will need to have designer access and the SysAdmin role in the AccountManager ACL)

Action Buttons:

(Note:  The drop down choices on your Action Buttons may vary depending upon your company’s configuration.  See your AccountManager administrator with any questions.)

Button Name Usage
Save

Saves the Configuration Profile with changes. Please note that Outlines and Views may be regenerated based on the changes made.

Close

Closes the configuration profile document if details have been saved.

Refresh Outline

Replaces the outline and updates only the views that are required to be rebuilt. Only use when directed by Technical Support.

Open Date Profile

Opens a profile document which has configuration option for the AccountManager directory synchronization and Email Notifications.

System/Main Tab

Field Name Description
System Type

Option to configure business type. (Representative or Principal).

Hosted by Empowering Systems

Checked if Domino service is provided by Empowering Systems AccountManager Hosting service.

Enable Part Number Lookup

Enables Part Number Database which would enables users to pick Part Numbers from a pick list while creating a Bizdoc.

Import Style

Single Principal: import documents one Principal at a time.

Multi Principal: import documents for multiple Principal (used primarily for initial set up or data conversion).

Direct Match Exact Account Names

When checked the aliasing steps will automatically assign the import to a matching account name. The name of the import account must match the account name exactly (not case sensitive). An alias is not created.

Enable Owner

Enables Owner field/views in Bizdocs.

Enable Account Numbers

Enable Account Numbers functionality in Accounts. Used when a Principal provides an Account Number for an end account.

Enable Outlook Email

Enables Outlook as default email client. Requires Microsoft Outlook 2010 or later.

Enable Debugging

Enables debugging functionality. Errors in the code (if any) will be displayed in the form of messages. Only use when directed by Technical Support.

Enable Notification

Turns on/off Email Notifications, if turned on can be further configured in User Profiles. 

Enable Branches

Enables Branch and Branch level security. See Setting\Branches to enter Branches.

Branches Apply to

Only displayed if both End Customer and Distributor Account Types are secure allowing you to choose which one to apply branch security. 

Enable Central Contact Sync as Option on User Profile

Turns on the ability for a user synchronize contact via a central server based agent. The Contact Server Sync agent must be enabled in the Agent Control.

Enable Central Contact Sync as Sync Service

Master on/off for central contact sync. If on, all users configured for central sync will synchronize contacts. If off, no user will synchronize. 

Display Principal AM in views

Option to configure if Principal Account Manager is displayed in “By Account Manager” bizdocs views.

Display Location in Views

Option to configure if Location is displayed in bizdocs views.

Display Account Fields in Contact web views

Option to configure if Account Fields (Account Category, Account Status, Marketing Group, Industry, Territory) are displayed in Contact web views. 

Reader Graphic

Option to select Header Graphic.

Enable Notification to Principal Account Manager

Option to Select if Email notification should sent to Principal Account Manager.

Field Name Description
Company Your Company name, this and fields below are used as default for User Profiles.
Division Your Company division (if applicable).
Location

Your Company location (if applicable.  See additional Help topics on “Locations” for further information on the Locations field and feature).

Phone

Your Company main telephone number.

Fax

Your Company main fax number

Email

Your Company general/information email address

Website

Your Company web site address.

Address

Your Company postal address.  Two fields provided to accommodate Address1 (i.e. street address) and Address2 (i.e. building or suite #).

City

Your Company city.

State/Province

Your Company state or province (can be configured as a clickable hyperlink by your administrator, to allow for selection from a list).

Zip/Postal Code

Your Company zip code or postal code.

Country

Your Company’s country.

View Style

Option to select styles for Contact Views. 

Style 1: Activity documents are displayed with the follow up date if status is Open, or the Date Sent if sent or the Date Created if not sent.

Style 2: Activity documents are displayed with two dates.  The follow up date if status is Open under Last Name column.  The Date Sent if sent or Date Created if not sent under First Name column.

Program Opportunity

Enables Program Opportunity form, views and reports. Programs are used for ongoing sale projects (OEM).

Project Opportunity

Enables Project Opportunity form, views and reports. Projects are used for one time sales projects (Commercial Construction).

Forecast

Enables Forecast fields/views on Program Opportunity Line Item.

Manage Won/Lost (Projects)

Part Number Level or Opportunity Level. Win or loose at Line Item or at Opportunity Level.

Locations Tab

Enables Location tab in Opportunity. Used for multiple locations in a Program Opportunity.

Alternate Form

Option to define a custom form for Opportunity.

Alternate Line Item Form

Option to define a custom form for Opportunity Line Item.

Additional subform (on Program Tab)

Name of custom subform/custom control to use on the program tab of Program Opportunity. It will look for a custom control of the same name but prepend “cc” in place of “sub” prefix of subform if it exists.

Additional subform (on Project Tab)

Name of custom subform/custom control to use on the project tab of Project Opportunity. It will look for a custom control of the same name but prepend “cc” in place of “sub” prefix of subform if it exists.

Checked will always add a right and left margin on Print Preview. 

Always include Country on  print Preview

Checked will display the Country in Print Preview.

Disable Line Shading on Quotes

Checked will disable the line shading among Line items on Quote Print Preview. 

Email in Native Excel Format

Checked will produce a Print Preview Excel file in the version of Excel installed, otherwise it will create it in a backwards compatible 2003 format.

Include End Customer on CEM Direct Quote

Checked will Include End Customer on Direct Quote when CEM is Quote Recipient.

Display Email Address instead of Fax Number on Quote

Checked will display the recipients email address in place of the fax number on Quote Print Preview.

Hide Quote Footer

Checked hides the footer reference to the local representative/customer service in a Principal configuration.

Hides the Approximate Value Field on Opportunities. Used if you want users to enter Line Items in order to have a value.

Additional Fields to Set when selecting a Part Number

The fields listed here will be set when selecting or tabbing out of the Mfr or Customer Part Number field. The fields can be existing fields or customer fields. To use the same source and destination field name simply list them. To use different names use a ~ in the format “source~destination”.

The example below sets the Weight field in the LI from the Weight field in the PN. It pulls the PNSpecialField from the Part Number into LISpecialField in the Line Item.    [Weight; PNSpecialField~LISpecialField]

Option to configure if a Partners Opportunity can be modified in this database.

Allow These Rep Firms to Edit opps

Option to configure if only certain Rep firms can edit an Opportunity. Used for internal use by PartnerAccess enabled Principal.

To define the Partner Access URL.
