AccountManager Forecast Views

AccountManager includes several different views that display forecast information.  Your AccountManager administrator may have set certain restrictions into place that govern which forecasts certain users have access to, such as allowing field salespeople to only see information for their accounts.

Most views sort the data in order by the first column.  For example, in the default “Forecasts > By End Customer” view, the forecasts are arranged in alphabetical order by company name.  In some views, such as “Maintenance”, some columns may have sort indicators, meaning you could click on that column header to override the default sort and view the data in a different order (such as by “Principal” as in the example below).  When you sort by a particular column, the sort indicator turns into a solid black triangle.  To unsort that column click the column header again, or sort a different column instead.

     Maintenance

Displays all forecasts in an editable flat view based on the columns specified by your configuration profile.  Forecasts may be entered and modified in this view in a manner similar to working in a spreadsheet.  See “Forecast” form help for more information on this feature.  In this view, even ROW account names are displayed, but are indicated by the   icon.

     By End Customer

Displays forecasts categorized by End Customer, with the exception of ROW accounts which are grouped together under the [ROW] category.

     By Principal

     By Distributor

(Each account manager will see all forecasts his/her name appears on, regardless of whether it’s as customer account manager, distributor account manager, owner, etc.  Because one forecast document could be assigned to multiple account managers, the totals at the bottom of this view will be inflated.  Do not use the “By Account Manager” view for overall totals.)
