AccountManager Accounts
Account Profiles store all the information about a particular company. They can be shared by all the users of an AccountManager database, but your AccountManager Administrator may have set certain restrictions in place, such as allowing field salespeople to only see their own customers, or only allowing certain people to edit principal account profiles.
The Header section of the account profile contains basic information such as company name, address and phone number. The detail tabs can be filled out with additional information about the account, if desired. The embedded view at the bottom can be manipulated to show a variety of information such as key contacts, additional locations of the account, account numbers or multipliers, depending on your configuration.
Creating Accounts
- Open the AccountManager database, and click on the “New Account” button found above most views. A blank Account Profile will open.
- In the header section, fill in the basic information such as company name, address and phone/fax numbers.
- On the “Account Info” detail tab, click on the “Account Manager” hyperlink to select the appropriate account manager(s) for this account.
- Also on the “Account Info” tab, click on the “Account Type” hyperlink to select the appropriate account type.
- You may “Save” and “Close” the account profile at this point, or continue entering additional information on the detail tabs first.
