AccountManager Accounts

AccountManager includes several different views that display account information.  The default “Accounts” view displays all the AccountManager accounts you have access to, sorted by company name.  The additional views underneath provide even more ways to browse and locate accounts.  Your AccountManager administrator may have set certain restrictions into place that govern which accounts certain users have access to.

Most views sort the data in order by the first column.  For example, in the default “Accounts” view, the first column is “Company” so the accounts are arranged in alphabetical order by company name.  Some columns may have sort indicators, meaning you could click on that column header to override the default sort and view the data in a different order (such as by “Account Manager” or “City” in the examples below).  When you sort by a particular column, the sort indicator turns into a solid black triangle.  To un-sort that column click the column header again, or sort a different column instead.

Finding Accounts by Company Name

1. Click on the “Accounts” view, and ensure none of columns other than “Company Name” are currently sorted.

2. Begin typing the Company name of the account you wish to find.  As soon as you type the first letter, the “Starts with…” dialog box appears.  You may type as much or as little of the name as you want, to narrow the search.

3. Click on “Search” or hit your “Enter” key.  You will be taken to the first account whose company name meets the criteria you entered

Finding Account /Location by Other Criteria

4. If you’d like to find accounts by city, click the “City” column header to sort the accounts alphabetically by city name instead of company name.  (Whichever column is sorted, is the criteria in which you’ll be searching when you begin typing).

5. Begin typing the city of the account you wish to find.  You may type as much or as little of the city name as you want to narrow the search.

6. Click on “Search” or hit your “Enter” key.  You will be taken to the first account whose city name meets the criteria you entered.
