AccountManager Registrations
AccountManager provides the ability to create and manage Registrations in accordance with the standard NEDA form, from the time they are submitted through their approval or rejection. While Registrations can be shared by all the users of an AccountManager database, your AccountManager Administrator may have set certain restrictions in place, such as allowing field sales people to only see their own Registrations.
Registrations are part of a group of documents in AccountManager referred to as Business Documents, or “BizDocs.” Other BizDocs include Opportunities, Sample Requests, RFQs, Quotes, and Design Wins. BizDocs can be used to “Copy Into” other BizDocs to save time, and link documents from one program or project together.
Creating Registrations
1. Open the AccountManager database and go to any of the “Registration” views. Click the “New Registration” button on the action bar.
2. A Registration form will be displayed pre-populated in the Header area with your name as the Owner (can be manually changed), and the current date as the Registration Date (Date Submitted).
3. In the Header area, select the Distributor and End Customer this Registration is associated with. (You may also select a CEM if appropriate, and a Representative, if that field didn’t auto-populate based on your earlier selections).
4. On the “Main” tab / “Program” sub-tab, fill in the basic information such as Program, Application, Annual Units, and Competition. Enter a Prototype Date and Production Date as well as a Program Status.
5. Add part numbers to this Registration by clicking the “Line Item” button and the “Add Line Item” choice under that. Fill in the pertinent information for that line item, click OK, and repeat as needed.
6. You may now “Save” and “Close” the Registration at this point, or continue adding additional information on the Detail Tabs defined below.
7. To email the Registration to your representative, make sure there is a contact listed in the “Contact 1” field of the corresponding detail tab. Clicking the “Email” action button will generate a new email pre-addressed to that contact with an attached copy of the Registration in Microsoft Excel format, and in accordance with the standard NEDA form.
“Copying Into” Registrations from Other BizDocs
Another method for creating Registrations, is to use an existing BizDoc (such as an Opportunity, Quote or Sample) pertaining to this sales project, to “copy into” a Registration. This saves time, and if an Opportunity is used, links the two documents together.
8. Open one of the existing BizDocs you already have for this sales project.
9. Click the “Copy Into” button, and then on the “Registration” choice underneath.
10. A Registration form will open pre-populated with the common information from the original BizDoc.
11. Fill in any additional details on the Registration as desired.
12. “Save” and “Close” or Email the Registration to your representative.
